Project "MINE!!"

ok then guys and gals. thought i may as well post up a progrss report of my car, not much done as of yet but it will slowly get there.

Anyhow's, for those of you that dont know what car i drive, or for those of you that think that my display picture is of an MR2 ( ) then its a Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 twin turbo

So starting from the start (yeah bet ya didnt see that one coming did you lol)

I found the car due to my sat nav getting confused and sending me down the wrong street. i saw the GTO, and just stopped to have a look around it, then the guy come out and said its for sale. spoke a little about it and then just bought it there and then.

so this is what it looked like when i bought it













I know i know, the rims are hideous and what a horrid looking Turbo badge

1st things get rid of that horrid badge

then, it had a few problems and so i put it into a specialist garage and they looked after it for what seemed like an eternity (10 months as it took me that long to pay for it)

come out with a few new goodies, boost pipe not keep blowing off, turbo timer, massive sports radiator, full service (most expensive part)








much better in my eyes and runs a dream now.

so thats almost upto scratch, however been a little bored over the last couple of days so been trying something. its not the neatest of cleanest, but the paintwork on the car is shocking and so im not too bothered if the wheels dont look 100%. this is just to test the water and see how it looks before getting it professionally done



first of all some halFRAUDS primer with filler (be warned this stuff is ridiculous and i really do not recomend it)

next came the primer



then after that the colour



after this i put on the laquer however whilst it was still wet i flicked on some blue metal shards and the finished product looked like



like i said its not the neatest looking of spraying but im not too fussed at the moment, but this is just a quick photoshop so you dont have to use ya imagination too much



only done the one wheel so far and not got a pic of them on the car but will do by friday

so whats next on the list

brakes all need completly redoing

blanking off the rear wheel steer

re spray

exhaust needs to be quiter

possibly a single turbo conversion

and a 6 speed gearbox

all coments welcome

so done the others today and didnt use the filler primer and the result i think is much better. masked it off a little better as well so the lines are a little better

so there on the car now

I love the idea with the wheels, few people around my way have done it.

I just don't like the wheels, maybe if it was done on a like a 5 spoke, or multispokes the same size it would look better

have they really done it round your way?? damn i wanted to do summit different and i hadnt seen it before. yeah i agree if they were the same spokes all the way round it would be much better, but for the time being they will do lol. there still like 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than the chrome lol

Looks Good Dude. Not Being into Jap cars, But I do appriciate an old skool Ride and the GTO is my kind of Era. Look Forward to seeing the progress.
