Subaru Impreza P1 007/1000
This is my Impreza P1 , the P stands for Prodrive , as it was them who built and developed the car for the crappy UK roads.
The car is build number 7 ( happens to be my lucky/Fav number ) of a thousand cars.
My car has a interesting past as it was the main press car Prodrive used when they launched the car back in 2000. If you go onto youtube and type "Impreza P1" you will see it being hooned about by Vicky Butler Henderson and Tiff Neadell . It was also used in a lot of car magazines back then and I have been told that it was in a shed load of mags.
Back in June 2011 I blew the engine up after a fuel pump failed and caused a 3cm squared hole in the block , which caused massive damage and set the thing on fire. The car went over to Scooby Projects in Leadbury. We were going over what choices did I have and how far the budget could go. I was very lucky that a car was put in the workshop the same day as mine , to be broken into parts as the bloke had spent over £30,000 on the car. He had recently spent £15,000 on a Zen Performance engine , which had only done 5000 miles. I snapped this bargin up and then things started to progress.
The engine specs are : Forged closed deck block , 12mm Lateral oil pump , Forged rods , P1 Piston , P1 head , STi Version 9 crank , ARP studs , ACL Black Series race bearings , Cosworth steel head gasket. The engine is rated safe up to 500 bhp
The car was then remapped by Subaru legend Bob Rowle who did a live map on the road and tuned it so it would suit the every day driving it had to do. the car ended up producing 322bhp and 329 ft lbt , which feel pretty nippy.
At the same time the car was in with Scooby Projects , I got them to installed my really nice Prodrive mud flaps , which are as rare as rocking horse shit in a hamsters cadge.
I had the car off the road for many months and when I finally managed to get all the stuff done , Drem from Fresh Additions installed my Prodrive 4 pot front brakes , with 330mm Alcon disc and bells , with Prodrive Alcon blue stuff.
Here are a few pics from last nights meet.

Its a lovely clean car, and you know the engine can take a battering if needs be unlike most scooby engines who just go for quick big power

That looks Lovely, The colour is stunning. As Everone knows the only Scoobys worth having are the P1 and the RB320. Again not being into Jap / Pacific rim cars, I do appriciate the engineering and the design of the Prodrive factory.
